We finished 9pts behind Manure last season

Last year they were CL finalists, FA-cup semifinalists and champions.

This year they couldnt beat Basel in CL, two losses against Bilbao in EL, early FA-cup exit, ad Carling cup fail against Crystal Palace at home.

This shows how much weaker they are this year. I just don't see that much improvement on our side from last year. We had fantastic 3 months at the start, yes that was fantastic.

Chelsea, Arsenal, even Pool is weaker than they were last year. But mainly Chelsea, that's why they are fighting for a CL spot in the league.

Only PL title is real improvement from last year. Or finishing second with a few points lead instead of being third on goal difference. Historically surely this counts, but in reality it isnt.

The squad has fantastic capabilities and Mancini cant get the most out of it. There is always the feeling we could have do more in particular matches. Nearly all of our away matches since October. Or today.

These hero comebacks show we can come back we have the skill, talent. But mentality needs to be there all match long, focus needs to be there, tactics needs to be there. Gameplan, pace also. Mancini sometimes seems he lacks a lot of this stuff.

13-14 years ago we were playing York and Grimsby...................

If we finish more than 9pts behind them this season, is that progress?

We virtually finished 2nd last season (only missed out on GD).

Absolutely not - hope the owners change things because Mancini wont change a fookin thing

what the "fook" do you want to change?

Manager would be a good place to start

So, no genuine answer then?

As far as i know the owners do not interefere in first team selection - they never have and i hope they never do - Abramovich has been doing this for years and look at the mess they are in

So realistically the only option that the owners have or are likely to have to change things is indeed to NOT renew Mancinis contract

They have acted honoroubly give the fooker more money than he has ever had and pretty much failed - no renewing his contract is the least that they can do

Who instead then? That's not an easy answer is it?

And there's a good chance we'll do the same again this season. Utter shambles.

No its not but whom had Mancini on the tip of their tongue when Hughes got punted - there will be alternatives -

Hoe can we have made progress when the manager is still getting tactically wrong? No cups, no league, no progress.

Absolutely fucking clueless. It was blind luck that got us the draw. We'll be lucky to finish second at the rate we're going. Arsenal are gonna have a fucking field day
