He can cover left-back too if ever needed to do so. He has premiership experience. He is 31 and so offers quality now but will be moving aside in time for Micah and Ned to become complete players. I feel that although the Terry saga will run close, he probably won't come (not being negative just my opinion) so Lescott and Neill would be quality additions.

It's because terry is a huge name. That's why you don't think he'll come. It was like tevez and ade. I'm sure he'll come.( terry that is)

nothing to do with the fact he's a huge name, it's because he's a one-club man who's up until this point been absolutely worshipped by a set of fans and he's now required to make himself despised by them. I just think, in the words of Cooky, he'll 'bottle it'.

as for Neill, well I kind of knew was going to get a bit slated for this thread lol, maybe it's partly because he's not a 'glamourous' name or maybe people just don't rate him as highly as I do which is fair enough, don't begrudge anyone their opinion at all.

but to my mind he's not a bad option at all, a hard worker and a Hughes type player.
