Sometimes, I just think we see things a little too much behind blue tinted glasses.

I would not class our place in the top ten stadia in Europe at present.

Eastlands is already an eyesore from the outside and with regards our owners, property, after oil, is one thing they do best.

Think we would also be very surprised to learn of the tax benefits from a new build/improvement with building costs so low.

I'd like to see City move back to their 'spiritual home' ... Moss Side.

We still have the academy facilities at Platt Fields , which is due for further expansion , and i'd like to see the club try to purchase part of the park from the council (or at least attempt to) and build a new super stadium there ...... it would mean so much to that area , and probably to the vast majority of our support to return there ....... it'd be like going home.

I was raised where COMS is , in the sixites , it had real character and soul back then with it's terraced streets and alleyways ..... now it has such a different 'feel' to it , and it does little for me now if i'm honest.

Club first, Stadium second.

For us to start considering moving into a new stadium or redeveloping Eastlands, we need to be bringing success on the pitch, be playing Champions League seasonly, and be challenging for the title. At the moment we don't fill out Eastlands enough on a regular basis, there is no point having a 60,000+ stadium if its just over half full most of the time. Once we're selling out every week, then we will need to do it. And it should look absolutly frickin' awesome, and have an atmosphere to match...

Some of the German arenas, Bayern's Allianz, Schalke and Hamburg, have all been able to retain a mix of the traditional with cutting edge design.

Schalke is currently in danger of losing their Bundesliga licence, because they can´t pay their stadium debts anymore...Bayern is losing money every year with their arrogance-arena..so spend your money carefully

Once again this site proves some people don't actually read things through properly.

Where in the original post did I say we needed to increase capacity, apart from in the form of a question.

The clown who said I wanted the roof taking off, that was too demonstrate my argument that without it (a superb feature, by the way) we are left with a drab facia.

As my post continued to argue, in its present form, the exterior of the stadium will continue to downgrade. There can be few complaints once in a seat.

And those sceptics who think our owners won't be looking into the area, are naive beyond the extreme.

It's not a case of being spoilt, it's a case of making the absolute most of our resources.

Was very impressed with the drawings posted up yesterday of Roma's proposed new stadium.

Can't help feeling that our place is already starting to be left behind in terms of design, innovation, and general state-of-the-art 21 century requirements?

Can anyone tell me when the initial stadium plans were drawn-up, as have feeling the architects were pushing the boundaries of 20th century design and build when we first decided to make the move from Maine Road.

I'm convinced COMS/Eastlands, whatever we wish to call it, is not, and will not age well, over the next couple of years.

There is little emotional attachment to the stadium for me, and one of the many reasons why I think our owners could and should look at a new stadium/major refurb before much longer.

Liverpool (eventually) Spuds and other clubs across Europe will all be in a position to take advantage of current methods, which will make our home look dated and shabby.

Why would we take away the roof you numpty - thats a feature and it looks great?
It`s a superb stadium and anyone I`ve taken to it or have met, including away fans is impressed!
Would you like some mock tudor beams or some chimneys as a Lowry tribute?
Name a better looking stadium in this Country - only Emirates comes close

Agree with your comments GM. Architecturally wise, the stadium is very striking The one thing I would like to see would be a bit more blue on the outside.
