Santi Cazorla would fit the bill! He mainly plays on the wing, but has great passing range and technique.

No one of the quality people are talking about are going to play second fiddle, and Silva looks like one of the best around and many mentioned don't look at his level, so Silva will be first choice.

When Dzeko comes, if silva is injured, our game can gain more width, and we can strech teams and have something substantial to aim crosses at, so Johnson and (insert other winger), may become more infuential to how we play.

The best thing would be to wait and see how gai assulin develops, as he may play in this role and being young hopefully will be patient and take his chances when given. Maybe also try and bring some ball player through the academy. Albert Rusnak looks a very capable ball player, who has a great eye for a pass, but he may be a few years off yet.

We need a ball playing midfielder to replace Barry with - not necessarily a playmaker. A Wilshere, Fabregas, Alonso etc. So that if Silva is out we can still retain the ball. If they both play together, we put teams to the sword.

Problem is there aren't many out there who are available.

Barry is anything but pedestrian. He's been one of our most consistent performers this season. Easy target.
