this songs been sung for years, generally by a load of meatheads with 2 pints in their hands at the back of the south stand, usualy 15mins into the second half, blokes with no interest in the game, the score or anything about football, as long as they can get pissed up with their mates nothing else matters, hence the song. Like i said, Morons.

we make these songs up like "we score when we want" or "mcfc ok" and they are a great half hearted laugh... but we ditch the poznan were everybody joined in and chanted city city loud as fk. Footage of the poznan was on before the ballotelli & noel interview and looked fantastic, its often shown on tv... But lets not do it any more and sing some half chants !

I think the we'll never win at home chant is class.... ironically though, since we have stopped doing the poznan we have stopped winning every game.

This song is an important and proud part of our history. In the 80s and 90s when we hit low after low it summed up what it was to be a blue at that time. Loyal, good humoured and proud! MCFC Ok.

I love the song. Don't know whether it was this song in particular that got the players going though, I doubt all of them know the words/the irony meant behind it. But they heard us making some noise which probably helped - I reckon going from nothing to something in terms of atmosphere made them think 'eh, this lot are singing even though we're playing shit. We'd better do something about this' and fair play to them, they did.
