Once we get Tevez, if we didn't sign another player in this tiresome window I wouldn't personally lose any sleep.
The major issue we had last season was the lack of a target man to play off, Les has addressed this is issue with RSC.
I reckon he's the most important signing we've made and pulling out of the Eto'o deal proves we're quite relaxed about our strike force.
If we're not firing in goals for fun by January, thats the time to bang in the offer for Eto'o.
City are no fools and we can't be underestimated by the top clubs in Europe any more.

De Jong, Kompany, Barry, Ireland, SWP, Petrov, Johnson (when fit), Zab (if you want) and Elan is a better midfield than that of Arsenal, Villa, Spurs and Everton. Robinho, Santa Cruz, Bellamy, Boj and Caicedo is at least as good as Arsenal and Spurs and better than Villa and Everton. 2 centre halfs and we are there for me. Hughes is starting to get a very good squad together. You can't assume players are going to be injured for half the season just because they have in the past. Im assuming we will have the choice of those for the biggest part of the season and I believe we could overtake Arsenal unless they buy between now and the start of the season and we dont.
there is aiming high and then theres shooting yourself in the foot. I am not sure which city have done yet. For E'to has shown the same lack of courage adventure and bottle as kaka did. In short he is another player who only wants to swan about the upper echelons of football and the CL but hasnt got the heart bottle or inclination to put the spade work into getting a club like city into a postion where it can realistically compete in that range. Bollocks to him. What concerns me is how often the club is rejected could have an impact on who else may want to sign.

Im glad we didnt get eto he was coming just for money and why did barca want rid of him asap! In my honest opinion 30 goals a season is worth more then 25mil! And offering him the a two year extension with the same terms was just going through the motions! Tevez will work hard wherever he goes! And if RSC is fit he in my opinion will be a very important signing for us!

evans needs to be sold...he wont make it in the prem
caceido......???????....but we cannot afford to rely on him...too young and too inexperienced and im not sure he has what it takes to make it
boj...well noone knows....i personally rate the guy but he plays as a second striker and is not a player to lead the line
bellamy...too injury prone and therefore cannt be relied on......good when on the pitch but again not an out and out forward
RSC......Ill have to wait and see on him...His injuries worry me. He brings undoubted attributes to our team...height and strength but is he going to get the goals we need....Im not convinced by this signing????

Conveniently missing Robinho from that front line. Add him and the likelihood of Tevez and our front three of Robbie, Tevez and RSC is as good an anyones.

i didnt include obbie because he is by far better than most...in any team...however last year he played on the left wing really and not as a centre forward.....now im not sure whether MH will play him centrally or not this year....or will he leave him where he is???
and yes i dont rate RSC....but its my opinion and im entitled to it....if people dont like it tough...but thats the point of a forum...to air views...if you dont agree...fair enough but Im sure im not the only one who thinks that what we have in the terms of centre forwards isnt good enough....a view shared by MH clearly or he wouldnt have been after eto'o...or any of the players we may go after now

I don't think we need a big name player, the fact we have signed RSC and Barry improves our squad no end. For me the signing of Tevez is crucial to what we will do next year he will allow us to pay three forwards without losing out on midfield. If we just sign him and Lescott who can play central left side defence or left full back I will be content with the squad we have and I believe that will be capable of achieving top six.
