Those of us of unfortunate to be old enough will remember the league cup final against Wolves in 1974.Their regular keeper was injured and a young kid called Gary Pierce made his debut to face our massive attacking talent including Bell and Denis Law[who was playing for us at the time.]

We battered them,he had a blinder and saved almost everything we threw at him and they won 2-1.He was never heard of again but on that day he was world class.

I need this win , last season my brother died with in a few minutes of the end of our defeat there just after he watched the match with my other brother and his son all Blues , I found out after I got back from the match,R.I.P Frank.That week in Oct' last year as we beat the rags 1-6 & wolves 2-5 away then 3-1 at home was like our Frank had , had a word with the big man up-stairs :) . I've had a few run ins with wolves fans over the years can not say I like them that much, but could not care less about there pain at the end of the match, Never had one of them say how sorry they were for our pain at getting relegated 5 times , could not give a fuck if they did.As we in life can feel a pain many times greater .
