Love some of the excuses for Robinho - we played (again) with ten men.

I think the "Following Hughes orders" has been the best so far. Because, poor tacticion or now, I doubt he told him to try and do a fancy bloody trick on the edge of his own bloody box.

And why would Hughes tell Robbie to play one way, and have Ireland, Ched, Sweep etc play the other?

maybe it was lost in translation ?? :-)

Or maybe he just doesn't want to play for us? You are slamming the manager for players under performing, and then criticise others who blame Robinho for our away form. Personally I don't think either is correct and is an easy cop out for those for/against Hughes.

I can’t see him not wanting to play for us.

I think the lad’s confidence is shot; maybe he has a lot on his plate at the moment.

Is Hughes the guy to take us on to glory and win loads of trophies?

To be honest I probably think he won't be. But I do think he is the right guy at this time and if allowed to bring in his own players, in 2 years time we will have a very good squad and maybe even a trophy as well.

This will be the time to judge him and for the owners to decide if he can take us further. If they decide he isn't then I am pretty sure the next manager will have a very good squad to move us up to the very top.

Maybe I am just the kind of person who is prepared to wait for us to lay some solid foundations before we bask in glory!

You are right in that it is up to the manager to decide who plays. I do support Hughes, but I don't blindly think all his decisions are right, just like I believe that all managers make errors in judgment.
