We Won !!! No Thanks To Hughes

Its such a shame that when we are starting to go places the best cup run in a long long time there is still people on here who will never be happy, no matter what we acheive, such pessimism. I think you want us to fail just so that you can smirk and say i told you so.
Its not the best team weve ever had on the pitch,or the best manager weve ever had, but its a team that has got us to the last 8, what more do you want.?
top 10 finish in the prem and who knows how much further we will get in uefa. lets see who we buy in the summer and then judge MH against himself next season.
You just don’t get it do you?

My gripe is we should be doing much better with the players we have in our squad, my theory is our progression in this competition has much more to do with luck, than the tactical nous of Hughes, as I said last night our progression has been a miracle considering our team is under his guidance, he lives to fight another day,

I cant wait until we get rid of this loser and get a real manager

Or a part time bar maid with big tits. She wouldn't manage any worse and would look a sight more interesting.

Seriously, I have had it with this numpty. I used to say give him chance, but enough is enough. I hope we are looking in earnest for a new manager and sign soneone else at soonest opportunity.

£180m spent on players and we have Hughes at the helm. Madness.

Why not. Hughes clearly has.

Seriously mate. Honestly, in all seriousness. Can you look at what Hughes has done over the past 12 months and say "yes, he's the man for us". "Yes, top 4 with Hughes. Premiership champions under Hughes. Champions League Champions under Hughes. " Seriously?

If you think yes, really I think you are deluded.

The guy DEMONSTRABLY is not good enough and we should look to replace him. Honestly it's a no brainer.

With the money we have spent and will probably spend again, it's like running the McLaren racing team and asking Jeremy Clarkson to drive. Clarkson can drive a bit, but he's no Michael Schumacher is he. And we need a Michael Schumacher. Asking Clarkson to drive would be a complete waste of your £100's millions. QED.

They way i saw it last night. We did a pretty good job for over 3/4 of the game, and they scored the first ok, these things happen, but lets face it the pen was a stroke of good luck for them, but thats football. If it was predictable or straight forward nobody would watch the games, this is why we love it and our club. Now dont get me wrong,i like everyone else was shitting it,thinking that we had blew it,but shay did a great job and now we find we are in the 1/4 finals, where over 2 legs anything can happen. (see last night!) So now is the time to get behind the team and the manager (wherever your for or against him ) because we have not been this far for a long long time,so lets enjoy the ride, and who knows with a bit more luck (which we do seen to have in this competion ) we will be there on that night in the final, and what a fucking night that will be for ALL city fans.

Are you the same person who said that had we lost last night you weren't going to go to the Sunderland game on Sunday?

Yeah, City till I die!!!

Proper fan you are!

what are you bittering about, our opponents defended well last night and it was us yet again showing no cutting edge up front!

And he's had a lot more than 8 months to get that £90m worth of talent settled and playing in a fashion they are all comfortable with.

In his first 9 months O'Neill improved Villas performances by 5 league positions and 8 points.

And he spent about £35m.

It does take time for a side to come together, but this idea that it is impossible to see improvement straight away just doesn't make sense.

It does make sense. If you're looking for excuses!

Management should ne able to make an immediate impact, and quite a few managers in the Premership have done that this season.

Zola, Fat Sam, Hiddink, Hodgson, Mgson and Redknapp all took over part way through a season... and all made a positive difference to their new teams.

I think it's only Hughes who hasn't! Our manager is obviously special and shouldn't be compared with other managers in similar positions.

Maybe he needs another £100m and two years before we can judge him...

Good post!

This board continues to descend to new levels of negativity by the week! The i want it and i want it now attitude amongst some is laughable at best. We even have certain individuals sat waiting to throw anti Hughes shite out before the game has finished and some wishing for the opposition to win in the hope that the manager they don't like will be sacked.

The very word SUPPORTER seems to have been lost on some and it's very very sad indeed. We went down to the bottom half of div 2 and didn't whinge this much! Whilst constructive criticism is and will always be healthy, out and out moaning and doom mongering will only ever hinder and not help the whole ethos around the club and the way we are portrayed.
