Sounds like the first 15v years of my life other than that summer in the mid 70's.

Just talking about this with Memsahib. I remember as a kid it snowed quite a lot in winter, maybe less now (global warming?)

Funnily enough we had no heating yet I never felt cold in my bedroom and used to run around in school blazer and thin shirt chucking snowballs, creating slides on Stamford Park boating lake....no hat, jumper or gloves....never felt cold, weird eh !
