I see our annual 1-0 defeat at Sunderland is being played on a Wed night in December. Someone must have decided that return journey needs to be made even more miserable

I head up full of optimism every year. Definitely having a bet on 1 nil Sunderland this time round though to ease the pain.

Anybody any idea when sky will get round to picking there live games, as city away at Newcastle seems to be the pick of the opening day fixtures and I wouldn't mind getting some train tickets booked, cheers

Does anyone really believe that these fixtures 'randomly' come out of the fixture computer?

Yes - mainly because they do, and because I'm not a conspiracy theory nutjob who sees a pro-rag agenda behind every single decision.
Personally I reckon the way the fixtures fall is an ideal opportunity to lay down a marker as to our intent, and hopefully make a better start to the campaign than we did last season, so we're not playing catch up.
But at least it gives the usual suspects a flimsy excuse should we fail to start well.

Fucking hell people love a conspiracy on here. It's a random computer generated fixture list. If it was fixed then in the last 20 odd years of producing these fixtures someone would have leaked to the papers that this was fixed.

And don`t forget Pellers has a year of prem experience under his belt now....I think the start last year took him a bit by surprise.
