Welcome Bernardo Silva

Apologies Ric.

But page 6 of the thread, probably like all the other 5 pages, is an absolute gem. :-) 1 or 2 sensible and honest posts, but the other's are hilarious. If Silva#2 had signed for United, all of them would be over the Blue Moon ;-) about it.

Enjoy with a early morning brew.

One of the things I love most about this deal is that it's brought them down to earth with a bump so soon after their poundland treble. So many posts about us having no defence and all out attack and you can just sense the resentment, that's a space they're supposed to occupy. The sensation of a trophy is fleeting, the soullessness of their football more permanent.

Incredibly skilful player in tight situations, and once he has the ball is terribly hard to dispossess (sound familiar?).

Welcome Bernie!

I text my friend during the Monaco game and said what a player this lad is,i also asked how old he was, my mate reckoned 32 lol, i said thats a pity. WHAT A PLAYER THIS LAD IS AND I CANNOT CHUFFIN WAIT FOR NEXT SEASON. He is gonna be our new ledge.

options this lad gives us will be unreal, who do you double up on if he's running the show? Him, Spanish Dave, Jesus, Sane, Aguero, kdb? You pay attention to one player and the rest of them will give you a bloody nose.

When De Bruyne fell out of form this year there was no one to bench him. Having this many ball playing technicians means no one is undroppable.

The best thing about him above what everyone's already said is that like silva, he seems to have a fight in him. He looks like he won't be easily bullied or deterred from the amount of hacks and fouls he will be on the end of in the prem and that is a very important trait

B.Silva - 8 goals and 9 assists last season in Ligue 1
Wijnaldum- 6 goals and 9 assists last season in PL (much higher standard)

We dodged a bullet there lads

Very funny! I

It looks like Patrick Roberts might be sent out on loan again. It would be great if this opened the door for a stint with Monaco 12 month loan.

Danny Rose said he couldn't get him off the ball, and if nothing else, Rose is a very physical left back, so I don't think there's any worries about his physicality or fight.
