I’m not a lawyer but have negotiated employment contracts before and the way I’m guessing it works is that Haaland has a fully signed contract with us (which is why Khaldoon is comfortable speaking about it, I honestly can’t imagine him doing so without a signature on paper) but there is a clause in there stating that it becomes valid upon the triggering of his release clause/his registration with the club. So is it done? Yes, but also not quite.Football contracts are a bit weird like that, especially so when they have buyout clauses.
However, clubs become immediately accountable for payroll as soon as they are in possession of a players' registration.

An announcement doesn't get more official than the chairman announcing it in a preplanned, probably scripted interview on the official club website.

Don’t expect that photo and the rest to be released before his final game with Norway as we and him don’t want questions about us being asked and answered in that environment which is totally out of our controlTbf that has already happened, we just haven't seen the photo yet.

Just because he's done all the media stuff with us doesn't mean he will be announced immediately. Contract at Dortmund expires on July 1st, so I'd imagine we're not allowed to reveal anything until after that date

Looking at all the evidence in this thread it's clear to me that we have signed him subject to a very low buyout clause which Madrid have activated. So he signs the forms for us on 1 July and signs for the team he really wants on 2nd. No other explanation fits the facts.

There might be a few different reasons we haven’t released the media content yet (Norway duty, maximum social media impact, image rights negotiations with Puma etc.) but transfer / contract legalities won’t be one of them.

Yeah it wasn’t very clear but it certainly looked like a 9 from a distanceThere was definitely one shot that looked like it had "9" on it, not arsed enough to go back and find it.
