Welcome Josko Gvardiol | Signing confirmed on a five-year deal

As well as 5 or 6 out and out centre backs, we have Kyle, Rico and John who are all comfortable at RB, and Nathan and Josko comfortable at left back. Akanji has also played well at full back

I still think many don't understand just how lucky we are to have him here. He's an absolute beast.

Listened to a City podcast this week where they suggested that this is an unnecessary signing and that people were only getting excited because they were bored. Not sure what was wrong with simply admitting they've not watched him play.
I don’t think you would see many fans that are not excited about signing Gvardiol, he is only 21 playing at a very high level and still has room for growth.

But I also don’t think Gvardiol defines our season though. Gvardiol or Laporte being there this season both have similar high qualities so I don’t think you can blame people for wanting signings that they feel have clear impact on the team.

Shout out to @vanchi. He really comes across as a Golden Retriever puppy. In that sense, he reminds me of Rafael Nadal. A very nice, shy, quiet guy. However, on the court, a beast, a true warrior. I feel Josko is like that. Right, I am off to order a new Gvardiol #24 shirt ASAP.
Who??

Still get a kick out of seeing the padlock on a transfer thread. Welcome to City Josko, I'm sure you will bring a positive impact for the team. Let's see you do it on a wet Tuesday in Luton!

1. Does he track back?
2. Can he play at LB?
3. Is he a barm or muffin bloke?
4. Was his dad at York away?
5. Was he here when we ran out of chips?

If the answer to 3 (or more) of those are "no", he's clearly not a Citeh man. That being the case, get rid of him.

I was more on board with Jude Bellingham but Real Madrid got there first with his signing and you couldn't really blame him for going to Madrid. Both a talented players but both have some more development to come.
