Well done 1894 group.

Yeah, we'll done to all of the 1894 group, the colour, noise and new songs have been a great addition.

But also to the whole stadium as the atmosphere has been really good for the last couple of games, need to make sure we keep it up for the clubs which are lower down the league

I hate doing this, as these guys are doing a great job and don't need a middle aged Man standing in Block 111 telling them what to do. ;-)

However, can I suggest, request, a few songs in the future direct at blocks 111,110,109.(and back again)

I'd like to think we as fans can get to a point where we chant to each and over the heads of the away fans.

Don't know if any of you young-uns remember this......

"Everyhwere we go"(repeat)
"People want to know"(repeat)
"Who we are"(repeat)
"So we tell em"(repeat)
"We're the Boys in blue and white"(repeat)
"Love to sing and love to fight"(repeat)
"oo-oh"(repeat)
"Blue and white"(repeat)
"Sing and fight"(repeat)
"City!"
"City!"

OK it's a bit 80's(fight0, but it sounded great on the Kippax when it was sung.

Also. Some classics hear that need airing again. 15 pages of chants. http://fanchants.co.uk/football-team/manchester_city/
sounds like something you'd hear at a division 3 bundesliga ground ….. awful

Did anyone else notice?

Believe me Panzer, when it got going in the Kippax, it was a great chant.

But if you don't like it, fair enough.

there's a few things happening under the radar.

we feel prematch music, building the atmosphere can help, lots of small things can help. an early goal can help. lots of other things too of course.
we got mike joyce from the smiths talking with the club recently and they took some pointers about creating the right conditions, playing some better music, more inspiring perhaps more edge to it.

for us it's all about setting the conditions where people might treat going to a home game like there were going to an away game when they let themselves go a bit more and don't feel awkward about getting up to sing.

fingers crossed for tomorrow,

I've always said that the atmos at the big games is always good - Rags, Spuds, Arse, Dippers...

Let's see how it is against Palace, these are the challenging games, these are the games where extra effort is needed. Not by the SS or the Singing Corner but by the Bell Enders, the Kippax and the Ronald MacDonald stand.

Pre-match music is OK, but most of the stuff playing now isn't. It's just loud stuff that no one seems to relate to, played at max volume so you can't hear yourself think.

Play Wonderwall 10 minutes before kickoff if you want a singalong. :)

My young lad (age 15) is city daft ( brought him up proper) we are both season ticket holders in the south stand. At the start of the season my lad went to a atmosphere meeting, which I didn't really agree with him travelling all the way down to the stadium on a school night to attend something that was never really gonna cotton on.
Every game this season he has been part of what 1894 are trying to do. I now help with it to. When I told my lad that it would never work he said " dad, it won't if people think like that. Give it a chance, remember what maine road and the kip pax meant and all the rest of it and bring it to home games. It just needs people to help and make it catch on"
He was right, 1894 were right. The atmosphere has been 100% better this season. Sure the football helps, but we could easy become complacent with that. We are not though. Keep it up, meet for a beer half hour before kick off, not in the locals, do it on the concourses. Build the atmosphere in the stadium and let it spread onto the stands. Throw confetti, streamers, bananas, have fun. Sing loud and proud. Remember this needs backing.help the 1894 group out. They have a pay pal and need donations like everyone does. Remember, they are helping us out, not themselves. Get behind this group and show the football world what we all know already- City City, the best FANS in the land and all the world!

Yes it happened. Tv won't give you any perspective of what goes on in a game

-- Sat Dec 28, 2013 5:16 pm --

The ticker tape was in full view, great by 1894 group today.
Shame it can't be spread over to the kippaX

Plan would be to do a mini one (because of shortage of money) kippax side for cardiff.

we are fundraising at fallowfield branch 15th jan and north bury of course 30th jan doing talks on what we hope to do

Ticker tape looked good, although I don't get to see too much as I'm too close, but...what impact did it have on the atmosphere?

We can only do so much. We set the conditions but up to you lot to take it on. People rolled up expecting an easy win. The reason we do stuff every game and not just for big games is to fight apathy.

if we only did stuff at big games that gives the message that only big games are important whereas what we're saying is every game is important
