Well done 1894 group.

It's been easy because we've played most of the top teams at home pretty much once a month this season. Atmospheres for big games can (they don't always) take care of themselves. Everyone is more up for it.

We've got a whole half a season where only Southampton and Chelsea have to come to our ground from the entire top half of the Prem as it stands. It'll be interesting to see if we have further Hull or Palace atmospheres against all those bottom half sides.

Love the ticker tape. I remember when it was done a few seasons ago around the whole stadium. Would be good to do it again for the Barca game.

I hate doing this, as these guys are doing a great job and don't need a middle aged Man standing in Block 111 telling them what to do. ;-)

However, can I suggest, request, a few songs in the future direct at blocks 111,110,109.(and back again)

I'd like to think we as fans can get to a point where we chant to each and over the heads of the away fans.

Don't know if any of you young-uns remember this......

"Everyhwere we go"(repeat)
"People want to know"(repeat)
"Who we are"(repeat)
"So we tell em"(repeat)
"We're the Boys in blue and white"(repeat)
"Love to sing and love to fight"(repeat)
"oo-oh"(repeat)
"Blue and white"(repeat)
"Sing and fight"(repeat)
"City!"
"City!"

OK it's a bit 80's(fight0, but it sounded great on the Kippax when it was sung.

Also. Some classics hear that need airing again. 15 pages of chants. <a class="postlink" href="http://fanchants.co.uk/football-team/manchester_city/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://fanchants.co.uk/football-team/manchester_city/</a>
sounds like something you'd hear at a division 3 bundesliga ground ….. awful

Did anyone else notice?

panzer1311

Believe me Panzer, when it got going in the Kippax, it was a great chant.

But if you don't like it, fair enough.
Drat , ive been sussed ! , ...;-) ..... it just reminds me of those shit 70s chants , where one guy chants something then the others respond , like the England cricket fans , or 3rd division bundesliga teams , but each to his own ......mine komarad ;)

The ticker was great, videos flying round shortly.

Next time bigger and better, thanks to everybody that joined in.

Would the club let general season ticket holders back into the lower tier of the Family stand.Create a singing section there behind the goal.Would be good, when City are attacking that goal.

A Palace fan's perspective:

This was my first ever trip to the Etihad. I had been to Maine Road on a few occasions and was always impressed by the atmosphere there. One move to a new stadium later and once again we’re visiting a soulless modern day arena. It is hardly surprising when there is a stage outside with band performing and all sorts of food stands and shops. I had to double check that I had not turned up at a NFL match at Wembley! Sorry City, you just embarrassed yourselves and have lost the awesome place that you previously held in my mind.

As for the Palace. Again we were raved about by the press and City fans alike, however, I still think that it was something missing. Perhaps it was just a Palace goal on this occasion or perhaps it was the layout of the away end that prevented an epic atmosphere, however, once again ‘could do better’ is my assessment... even if it seems a little harsh.

I like the stage and bands that are on it. If thats a bad or embarrassing thing I'm not particularly arsed.

Too many people obsessed with supporters instead of footballers.

atmosphere was terrible yesterday, yet the Liverpool game it was brilliant. everyone singing in the concourse before and at half time, singing all the way through the 90 min. yet yesterday, concourse was quiet and so were the stands. as for palace fans, our fans at away games have been miles better than them. not special on their part, same song over and over and over and over and over again. then loads of silent moments, yet they sing all the time, dick heads

Yeah our atmosphere was diabolical yesterday compared to the liverpool game,
the palace fans were garbage though, they just sing that shit generic song that most clubs sing
i think we have more songs than most, we just hardly sang yday.

our away fans embarrass palace.
