...And all other City fans that are helping.

I'm a young lad in my 20's that has always gone on a regular basis. I'm not a member nor do I particularly know any member of this group but I recognise a few faces. They have been trying to push the atmosphere for a while now and trying to organise things.

Well I just want to say well done, the south stand has been brilliant recently and it looks like it will only get better. Yesterday it looked like they all gathered in the concourse and tried starting songs before the game and during half time, this then fled onto the stand and people were singing whilst the players were warming up!

The good thing about it is, they aren't making it too european, it is literally just a group of lads making their own flags and banners, bringing inflatables and starting songs. No dick head with a megaphone, no monotone shite chants.

The atmosphere last season was garbage but I think we're turning the corner, so well done lads and lasses! And anyone who joined in with the singing.

And what a run of results :-)

I thought the atmosphere was really good again yesterday, just like the Arsenal game. A lot of people got to their seats earlier too.

The Zabaleta + Kompany songs are proper terrace hits, and the Fernandinho one has potential to catch on. I love singing the Zaba one, it's a perfect football song because it can go on forever.

Be interesting to see if the atmosphere sustains for a much smaller game tomorrow, though.

(I wish they would stop the singer on the pitch, all that does is cause away fans to whistle and sing over him)

It's fucking shit and cringey.

I wish they would just let the atmosphere build up, rather get some idiot who's had a failed music career.

It's OK. I don't mind it

But I'm all in favour of fans organising and doing something themselves.

Not really aware of it stuck at the back of 216 in the South Stand. Having Tier 1 and Tier 2 breaks up the most vocal fans and makes it difficult as it's hard to hear songs in the stand below. Sound carries well away into the other stands, but not through the concrete divide between tier 1 and 2

There's an improvement certainly, there's a persistence in groups of lads to keep songs going now.

They've done a great job this season, stadium is much more colourful with the surfer flags and small stick flags. The Zabaleta and Fernandinho songs definitely help the atmosphere as they're catchy and easy to learn.

Just wish the club let the atmosphere build naturally before kick off rather than have that pre match blue moon and having one of those annoying presenters chat a load of shit.

I hate doing this, as these guys are doing a great job and don't need a middle aged Man standing in Block 111 telling them what to do. ;-)

However, can I suggest, request, a few songs in the future direct at blocks 111,110,109.(and back again)

I'd like to think we as fans can get to a point where we chant to each and over the heads of the away fans.

Don't know if any of you young-uns remember this......

"Everyhwere we go"(repeat)
"People want to know"(repeat)
"Who we are"(repeat)
"So we tell em"(repeat)
"We're the Boys in blue and white"(repeat)
"Love to sing and love to fight"(repeat)
"oo-oh"(repeat)
"Blue and white"(repeat)
"Sing and fight"(repeat)
"City!"
"City!"

OK it's a bit 80's(fight0, but it sounded great on the Kippax when it was sung.

Also. Some classics hear that need airing again. 15 pages of chants. <a class="postlink" href="http://fanchants.co.uk/football-team/manchester_city/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://fanchants.co.uk/football-team/manchester_city/</a>

Quality

Far better this season and no reason why tomorrow won't be just as good, if Palace bring their Ultras it should be great, I don't know if most of them travel to away games I know they did to Anfield a few weeks ago. The lads are doing a great job as it isn't easy sorting this kind of stuff out. I am waiting for the right occasion for my next Ticker Tape event, a CL Semi Final would be the right one I think :)

Great old chant, but you might have to change the word fight as the PC bluemoon song police might take offence

Used to love singing this in the playground secondary school at dinner before launching a ferocious attack on any young reds lingering about haha!

you won't have to wait long for our next tickertape event. We're doing one tomorrow

The atmosphere lately has been brilliant, it's almost like away games. Far enjoy the games more now.

Forecast for palace game is blue and white snow in the SS !!!

I know people fear the 'European' style of atmosphere but just following on from the posters comment about stands chanting to each other, at atletico's stadium the stand behind one goal chants to the opposite stand on the other side of the stadium who chant back, similar to what you described. Hearing two full stands essentially shout in unison at one another was pretty amazing when sat in the main stand. After a few toing and throwing between the two stands the whole stadium would join in. It was of course in Spanish and I couldn't understand anything but it certainly made the hairs on the back of my next stand up.
