Well done boss

The interview says nothing about his feelings. It says a great deal about his priorities though. The week didn't start with the Madrid game, it started on the Sunday with that pitiful display at Southampton. Not surprising that he air brushed that out.
Spot on and in his cocooned world the magnitude of what has happened has only just hit him as we battle relegation from the Champions League!

He also kept mentioning his stats over the last 3 season, very impressive to, but then one of the press boys mentioned his points totals over his 3 seasons, that took the wind out of his sails for sure.

They are 86, 79, 65 (hopefully 68) those figures are very revealing, hey Manuel

It's not a well done from me. I've digested a lot of what's been said on here this week and I've spoken to loads of blues about our season.

Many of them are not convinced by Guardiola. That is the general feeling between most of them. Most are also satisfied with what Pelligrini has done here.

It's incredible actually. Most are over 50 and you tend to find that certain age brackets look at city differently, older people remember the dark days and see now as a great place to be. It's a sound argument but I disagree.

I think when you set a precedent you have to strive to never fall below it. Winning the league twice in recent seasons has set the bar for me. This season has seen us regres to 6 years ago and this is with significant investment. If we fail to reach the champions league today this season will have been a catastrophic failure. If we do it will still have been a poor season.

Being a successful manager or not is all relative to your squad/budget/infrastructure etc and in that respect I think Manuel has been right up there, certainly in the last 18 months, as one of our worst ever managers.

I wish him well for the future but I think he's blown any chance of another gig at the top table. His dignity and record with Malaga has earned him a shot with us and Madrid but I believe he's fucked them both good n proper

Well said, but disagree with your last paragraph.

He was simply found out that he is and never was a TOP manager, just a competent one.

But he has NEVER *ucked anyone over.

Don't think he's been our worst manager by any means, despite the resources argument. We've had plenty of twats who could make a pigs ear out of a silk purse.

The worst manager we've ever had was Allison because he deliberately destroyed a team and in doing so crippled us for decades.

But this season Pel has damaged his reputation with his bizarre tactics, team selections, in match choices and priorities.

To be fair to Pellegrini, I doubt prioritising the CL matches was his decision ..
I disagree as I think all at the club value both not one over the other. It's about balance as Bayern, Real, Barca and Athletico have proved. They successfully fought on all fronts whereby aside from the CoC we collapsed on all fronts.

Can you imagine Real being in the CL final and needing to win it in order to qualify next season? Imagine if Barca were playing for a CL play-off place yesterday in order to qualify for next season's competition, the managers of neither club would be considered good enough to continue because the biggest clubs have proven track records of being able to compete at the highest level domestically and in Europe simultaneously.

There were far worse than Allison, but Mal was never a manager, just one of the greatest coaches the world of football has ever seen.

Phil Neal, Allan Ball, John Benson...I am going to stop, my blood pressure is on the rise

priority should always be the domestic title, Champions league success a bonus. At the end of the day UCL after first league format is a knockout tournament, and you need a degree of luck to win it.

For a manager that allegedly prioritised the Champions League the game and performance in Madrid was utterly bizarre.

I hope in time the truth of that performance will come to light.
