It's a fair ways off still, but I'd advise any pre-match boozing to be done in town, and then taxi/ bus to the ground. It's not walkable from the town centre, unless you want a 40 minute uphill slog. And there is not much to recommend about the area close to the ground in Boscombe/ Pokesdown. Not much fun up there, unless you head down to Boscombe pier, where there is a Harvester pub that is quite big, but doesn't allow colours as of last time I was in there on a match day.

Part of me hopes it will be midweek, more chance of getting a ticket haha!
Would be fantastic to get a Saturday 5:30pm kick off in August/early September, or similar from the end of March onwards.
