Most in this thread are just like to many football fans, quick to label someone world class, in this case legend.

Sweep never saved us off the pitch really, Abramovich did. It was him who parted with the cash, when deep down Ali Mack said to us in a bar, we would of sold him for less, and that Mourinho didnt even want him.

Yeah he would have paid us the same money for Crooks or Flood, nowt to do with SWP being the best right winger in the country at the time.

i take greater affront to the claim that tevez is a city legend than i do with swp.

club legends have a love for their clubs, at the very least they respect their club and its fans.

Carlos Tevez is not, and never will be a City legend.

Great player but if you think that's what it takes to be a legend at this club then you have a totally different perception of Manchester City than I do, and I would suggest most City fans as well.

Edit I think Shaun is one grade from from legend. A titan maybe? Love him to bits but it's time to move on now. He'll be back one day in some capacity I'm sure.
