this is the most pro-hughes biased article i've read yet. paints hughes as an angel. complete bollocks.

Compared too all the fair and balanced stuff we've been reading recently.

yes because hughes is known for his fantastic man-management skills. *rolls eyes* hughes supposed pedigree comes from managing mediocre crap like at blackburn and wales and getting what he can out of them, we've got mediocre crap all over the park but even he seems to have lost his touch and his tactics and decisions this season have been woeful. elano has been poor this season yet he's scored more goals than a lot of players and his passing (regardless of what people say) if you look at the stats and his assists he has a lot this season too. yet hughes has this personal vendetta and his managing of the situation is poor.

Who needs Elano when we have Vassell?

Sure the guy may be a douchebag, but it's pretty obvious he's one of the best players in the squad based on talent alone. Playing Vassell and Benjani while we have a fit Elano is a crime IMO.

So you'd be happy for him to do what he wants and still get picked ahead of hard working professionals?
If you paid me £30k a week I'd be the most hard working professional you're ever likely to see. I'd still be shit though.

Maybe, but Elano is paid 30k a week but he's lazy and puts in shit performances and moans when he doesn't play. If the stories are true then Hughes was 100% right to fuck him off. I can't believe this point is still open for debate on here.

If Elano is doing all the things the press are saying (and the only way these stories have made it public are by someone close to Hughes feeding them to the press ahead of offloading a popular player) then he needs to go, simple as that. However you seem to be using the Elano situation as a reason for all City's current ills, and relieving Hughes of any responsibility. Is the Elano situation the cause of our defensive issues? Of course not. Elano wasn't even in Birmingham on Sunday and we still played like shit against the worse team in the Prem and lost.

Re: Elano causing trouble???

Forevercity seems to believe otherwise and I believe him over all the newspaper reports I see.

Is it not more to do with a players attitude and the way our manager is dealing with it? What if our manager was Mourinho and you worshipped him, and Elano was being a twat? You would be saying 'fucking spot on Jose, thats the way to deal with the cnut'.
Roll your fuckin lip back in and let the staff do their job. Whatever you say, Mark Hughes knows more about football than you've had turds and he has a quarter of a squad capable of being successful in the Prem. WTF is he supposed to do? He has tried different formations and played players out of position to try and stop leaking goals but he is hamstrung by the shite he inherited, the same type of shite we have put up with for years.
Ps anyone spouting the 'rag' shite ,hes deliberately running the club down etc needs to really wake up and have a word with themselves!

No doubt he's got the talent but he seems totally unable to apply himself in the prem these days. Therefore he's pretty much useless to us

True but if Elano did cause Jo to pull a sickie then maybe we wouldn't have played Vassel and mght have had more of a cutting edge which would have pushed WBA back and forced them to play more defensively, thereby reducing the pressure on our defence.

Maybe Elano has been slipping vodka into Micah Richard's lucozade - it's the only way I can explain his shocking decision making in the last two games ;)
