Well Well ....interesting read

Worst bit about this report are the alleged targets. Senna too old, we need pace in the centre of the park, Bellamy why? Not good enough for lpool, doesn't convert enough chances and shit attitude. Santa Cruz? One season doesn't make you a good player as we are learning about Elano. If Hughes signs them they will all need replacing because they are average players and we were supposedly signing great players.

Senna and Bellamy are exactly the type of players City need to get them up the table and help them qualify for Europe though. You need spikey little fuckers who will niggle all day not to get beat, not great players who need a perfect pass and then plenty of time on the ball, players like Senna, Bellamy, Viera even, would fit in well with Ireland, Kompany, Dunne in this point of Citys season.

Exactly which 'great' players would want to sign for City at this point? Not in the CL, not anywhere near the top four and not really doing anything. Any 'great' player who wanted to sign for City at this time wouldbe merely looking for a payday in my opinion. Great players are great because they want to win things, they want medals, caps, cups, recognition etc and if they're coming to England they will sign for a top four club or a side very close to that.

Can anyone answer me these questions?

Will the constant leaking of negative information about our players:
a) make them play better
b) improve the environment at the training ground
c) increase the respect they hold for the management
d) increase their value if we decide to sell

Can anyone also tell me why it is necessary to bad mouth players a week before they are likely to be drummed out of the club?

Any proof Barca use them? There is also a clear difference between Lionel Messi training a certain way and Benjani training a certain way. Fitness training doesnt turn you into a good player it makes you a fit player. If all Hughes is great at is training sessions then make him coach and get a manager - you know someone who can inspire a team to play a ceratin way, not just run for a long time.

Considering Hughes played for both the teams mentioned, I think we can assume they do. You are right though that it doesn't turn you into a good player. However who signed Benjani?

e) encourage prospective targets to sign for us.

Interesting and worrying at the same time.
Interesting that talented players buy into the regime and others not. Feigning injury not to train or play is strange. The likes of Bellamy, RSc may well be his type of players but they are also injured quite a lot.
Somethings not right and not working.

Totally agree that no great players will want to sign at the minute, thats the frustrating thing, if we were higher up the league and looked like a team going with potential they might have done but Hughes has quashed that. Viera is a good shout but again like Senna hes past his best, if thats all we can sign then Im gutted really gutted because what was a season of excitement is over bar aiming to get to forty points. Lets atleast look at getting some exciting young players Drenthe, Alex and Agger former wants to move latter wont sign new contract and free agent summer. Babel again wants to move, Reo Coker?

Benjani is a horrible horrible signing but Sven was a manger who knew how to win a game, and he won some big ones for us. Im not saying I want him back thats stupid but I think he is better than Hughes as a manager and a tactician. We cant even sit back and defend. Set pieces offensively and defensively are awful and all the revolutionary hydration techniques in the world dont change that. Neither does cash. I also reckon the training methods when Hughes was at Barca were probably a bit different.
