10 of us booked in the Quality inn Wembley, £135 for a double room but well worth it. Five minutes walk from the stadium and we are getting to know the bar staff pretty well who stayed open way past their hours :)

Nice Chinese and indian just up the road and a great little cafe for the morning.

Cannot wait !!

I booked a family room for the missus, me and our son for the £145.

I told the missus we paid £95 and she was horrified at that lower price.

P. S. How are you going to fit 10 people into one room ;-)

4 rooms ;)

Staying in Acton town this time £30 each. 5 miles away but tube nearby?? if they are working this time. Going down Sat 0700hrs from Crewe to Euston. Return sunday 13.50 hrs £30 each train.

Will see you there Guv!

I will be the noisy one ;) we had a good laugh in there after the Chelsea game with a few Chelsea, they taught us their Celery song which we joined in with and then we taught them Jelly and Ice cream, bouncy castle, musical statues, etc which they loved. They joined in with if you hate Man Utd etc. the way football should be, they took defeat well and we even added

Jellied eels when Fergie dies and Pie, Mash and liqueur when Fergie dies.

8 of us booked into Heathrow Central Travelodge for the Saturday night. we wanted to go to Uxbridge again but prices of rooms have gone up and put it out of reach. Heathrow is currently at £32 per room and about 20-30mins on tube to Wembley.

Would allow longer than that for tube. Did it on /sunday and takes an hour.
Heathrow to green park then jubilee line to Baker St then Metropolitan line to Wembley Park. You can stay on Jubilee line but quicker on met as only 2 stops from Baker st

Looked at going to Green Park but then thought it must be quicker going about 6/7 stops and changing at Acton Town then again about 6/7 stops up to Rayners Lane then changing to Wembley Park. Must be a quicker and quieter run that way? Did you stay at same Travelodge or elsewhere?

Timewise it is similar, you still have the 2 changes.
Also a lot of work on the line at weekends and was bus service from Acton onwards on sunday so cut down our alternatives.
We didnt stay in Hounslow,we were on early flight from Manchester so had plenty of time.

try the Wyndham Grand Chelsea Harbour it's superb and where we stay when we go to London
