Yeah, we have had to make a diversion from our usual this time. Going to go west for the pub and then get the train from Marylebone
I'm doing similar, wondering whether to drink around Marylebone or to head out to Wembley and try and get a drink round there. Not going to be in London until 12ish.
The Chiltern Line is a decent option. Warwick Parkway, Banbury or Haddenham & Thame are options not far off the M40 with plenty of parking. If there’s 3 or more of you (without railcards) then book tickets together to get a discount.
What’s people’s experience of the Chiltern line back into Marylebone after the game? We’ve only ever used the underground from Wembley Park or Central, but thinking of using Chiltern to mix things up a bit for a change!
Wembley Park has always been fine from our experience after the game, it’s slow but steady getting onto the station and into the train. Central I’ve only ever had issues…huge queues through that stupid back entrance over the footbridge.
Never used the Chiltern train though, the queue has always put us off but wondered how bad it actually is?
