Wembley Info Thread

Yeah, we have had to make a diversion from our usual this time. Going to go west for the pub and then get the train from Marylebone

I'm doing similar, wondering whether to drink around Marylebone or to head out to Wembley and try and get a drink round there. Not going to be in London until 12ish.

The Chiltern Line is a decent option. Warwick Parkway, Banbury or Haddenham & Thame are options not far off the M40 with plenty of parking. If there’s 3 or more of you (without railcards) then book tickets together to get a discount.

What’s people’s experience of the Chiltern line back into Marylebone after the game? We’ve only ever used the underground from Wembley Park or Central, but thinking of using Chiltern to mix things up a bit for a change!

Wembley Park has always been fine from our experience after the game, it’s slow but steady getting onto the station and into the train. Central I’ve only ever had issues…huge queues through that stupid back entrance over the footbridge.
Never used the Chiltern train though, the queue has always put us off but wondered how bad it actually is?

Bugger, missed out on Wealdstone.
Can anyone recommend which train station and line to use when driving down the M40. (Have done Gerrards Cross before). Hillingdon looks to have a big & safe looking car park.
And is it Wembley Park for the City end? Thanks folks.
Beconsfield is good for parking and it's one stop before Gerrards Cross

For Southampton I left after the team left the pitch and was in Marylebone 25 minutes later

Can he email the ticket to his son and him download it and hope the steward on the gate doesn’t check?
How old is the son, could he pass with photo ID and claim it’s an old picture??

Getting the train down for the first time

Anyone got any experience of the train back to wigan , looking at getting the 20.30 back which is the last train

We haven’t been allocated a seat so I assume it will be rammed ?

My train gets in at Euston at 10:40. I'm thinking of heading over to Camden Market for some food and a couple of beers. Then at about 1pm heading for Wembley and maybe grab a pint at The Arch before going into Wembley.

Anyone reckon that I'm pushing it a bit there with travel time etc?

Could be. I have a similar time line. Was think of going to The Volley pub on Old Street (2 stops from Euston) but may just stay around Kings Cross for a couple of hours then head to Wembley.

Getting train from Stockport at around 9am I think. 4 cans and a tube of pringles for the journey.

Was thinking Baker Street area but having looked into it, it seems that's likely to be a Chelsea area.

So, not sure once I get into London. Might have a mooch around Camden.
Where you seeing that about baker st. Was going to get that. Might get the train at marylebone now.
