Also been told that any coaches with pissed up or 'rowdy' fans will be turned back under police escort.

I'd love to know the numbers of police needed to implement a plan like that.

I'd have thought a squad car to make sure they're heading back north for a few miles is all they'll do - it'll be up to the driver rather than the passengers and on the basis that the average coach driver would rather keep his job than get 32 passengers to the game, it might not need that many to enforce it for coach parties.

If the coaches set off in good time there'll be plenty of drinking time in London, no need for anyone to act the dick on the way down.

I agree, but its intresting to think the type of numbers they would need to be actively checking every coach.

Thats true but still if they are talking about stopping, getting on and checking individual coaches it could be time consuming.

I've sent doots Blue Order and Only Ducks and Horses, hope Prestwich and Whitefield branch don't mind. Anyone else want them to play on the coaches to Wembley let me know. There's a few M*nich songs on them from time to time, be warned! :s

They are old ones but still got some cracking songs on them!

I was on an away coach once when this happened. It nearly ended in mass arrests as well as missing the game. Simply not worth it, especially on this day. We all need to get there in one piece and then enjoy that last minute NDJ winner.
