I was on an away coach once when this happened. It nearly ended in mass arrests as well as missing the game. Simply not worth it, especially on this day. We all need to get there in one piece and then enjoy that last minute NDJ winner.

I enjoyed a last minute NDJ winner at Wembley in a dream only last night.

Was it a wet dream?

the only snag with that route is it'll start to get clogged with rags from bedford onwards.

Can't imagine a coach full of 'rowdy' fans allowing the coach driver to simply turn around and drive them home without a bit of an argument!

Its simple really though isnt it, if everybody ont he coach gives the drive £2 hes looking at £100 on the side for a bit of leniancy with drink.

Most smart coaches stop before the main checkpoints and get rid of cans bottles etc anyway.

Just had it confirmed from the outfit who I'm hiring a coach from that City will be on the M6-M1 route and Utd on the M6-M40 route. No coaches with fans on will be able to stop at services until after the junction of the M6-M42. Corley and Watford Gap are likely to be the busiest Services for us. Also been told that any coaches with pissed up or 'rowdy' fans will be turned back under police escort.

While I can understand the dibble having alternative service stations all the way there, there is no way they can say no coaches can stop from Manchester until after Birmingham. This is a free country last time i checked, not a police state.

Seeing as half the rag coaches have had to be hired from Yorkshire because Manchester coach firms have already been booked up, it will be intersting to see if they make it down the M62 never mind the M6-M40 .

The police can manipulate the Public Order Act to more or less do what they want with a sizeable gathering of people I'm afraid. That's why it refers to coaches not private cars.

Yep - I think David Cameron is personally responsible for making this decision. Infact, back at Eton, he actually hatched this plot and made sure we were drawn together to ensure his plan would come to fruition. His job is done now.

On a serious note, it was New Labour that made this country a nanny state (3,000 new laws on the books in their first 9 years)
