In fact went down it yesterday and Monday, and yes, the roadworks are still on the Milton Keynes to St Albans stretch and down to 50mph....I got through it with a ten minute delay yesterday, at 9am, and earlier the day before, about 7am I sailed through it. So is still my preffered route from this side of town come the Semi...

What time would you recommend to set off from Bradford to get to the semi in comfortable time?

I made the mistake once of leaving at 0600 and the road works were a nightmare. That is not saying it will happen every time but all it takes is one bump. Still a traffice jam should not stop the fun, Can still remember a traffic jam in 81 on the way to Villa park and standing on the M6 eating Ham Butties. Small things bring back memories!

Try boothstown Marina, 1 mile further down the canal. Lots of mooring sites there.

The first thing that strikes me is why bring the rags in from the west (M40) when that is our allocated end and why take us in from the eastern side (M1 and then in towards the eastern end)? This would mean that after the ground the fans will have to cross each other to get back to their transport. The whole idea is completely logical but only if done the other way around.
