Do you have a source for your information? I haven't seen this anywhere but haven't really looked for it.

The first thing that strikes me is why bring the rags in from the west (M40) when that is our allocated end and why take us in from the eastern side (M1 and then in towards the eastern end)? This would mean that after the ground the fans will have to cross each other to get back to their transport. The whole idea is completely logical but only if done the other way around.

Good question mate. Was thinking the same. I'm booked to park on a drive on the west side and had planned to come in from the M40. Still intend going that way but would have preferred to be surrounded by Blues.[/quote]

Oh dont worry, something tell's me you will be ;0)
I'm going that way tbh, just been looking at the route online and it makes sense to go that route. It's only 5 mile longer than the M1 route but I bet it's a lot quicker on the day even with those extra miles!

Travelled north along the route this morning, kept moving through the roadworks.. no problem.

travelling on the wrong day in the wrong direction....not sure how helpful that is?

is anyone else going by train? if so, if the match goes to ET and pens we could be in there till about 8.15, last train back is 9.00.... and it takes an age to get back to kings cross. I live in lincolnshire by the way. anyone else thinking of similar things ?
I have got to get the 2100 train from euston cutting it fine i no maybe they will hold the trains up if extra time being played either way extra trains gonna have to be put on

M1 from Market harborough to Milton keynes last week was contra flow..... nightmare!

Bearing in mind its a Saturday then the roads are already 50% less congested than a week day.

Even if 20,000 are going by coach, its only 400 coaches.

Cant see there being big problems unless there is the usualy jack knifed lorry/ Car fire /Accident etc...

4 hours on a coach, 3 hours in a car.

not my fault! said:

I'm sticking to the M6, M40 route also with 6 in a people carrier, know the route as I travel it a lot and the M6 toll quickens things up, also booked to park on a drive on the west side near the Green Man....Just not stopping at Services unless there are Blues around.....Might need the backup!!
