We're the 11th richest club in world (based on revenue)

The only time I'll care about this report is when we get in the Champs league, so I can see the massive increase in our revenue and point it out to all the bastards who think they haven't spent any money ever.

One interesting detail of this new table is our position relative to that of Spurs.

The one thing they had on us was their much higher T/O -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deloitte_Football_Money_League

That shows you that even before the bog numbers are in play for CL revenues etc City have overtaken Spurs (they will have a better set of accounts for this year due to CL revenues but in all likelihood that will fall back off for next season).

I would expect City to still have revenues greater than Spurs next year even with their CL cash.

I predict that even if they win it, and gain the maximum of £50m ish in income City will still have greater revenues for this season.

If you have kept an eye on the Las Vegas thread you will have noted a few examples of how things are going to make this increase look like chicken feed.

Sit back, enjoy the news that I guess will come out within 4 months (if not sooner) of more, massive deals with existing and new sponsors.

I can just picture Platini meeting with his FFPR team and with a Gallic shrug of the shoulders saying

"Well I dont know what more we can to do. £200m a year in sponsorships how did they manage that?"

I know it's de rigeur to think so on here, but I really don't see FFPR as being designed to stop City specifically.

I was speaking recently to someone in the sports law field who's very well connected. This person suggested that City have gone through the door before UEFA have closed it, and there's an acceptance of that fact within UEFA. Mansour, after all, bought City with the knowledge that this would happen and has had a plan all along to deal with it.

The aim of FFPR is to prevent there being another City.

Thats exactly right IMO.

The timing of City's good fortune just happened to match UEFA's desire to stop another Leeds or Portsmouth.

I have said before on BM that the decision to buy City was done with knowledge of the introduction of something like FFPR being in the pipeline.

The stressful thing for me and I suspect many other City fans is the way the club controls the info so well now.

We are awaiting news on

The Stadium expansion

The Casino Site

The Analine Site

(Additional land that we know City have bought)

The bigger leisure destination.

New kit deal (rumoured)

Stadium naming rights

ESPN partnership

Overseas developments.

And none of that is on the playing side!

Great being a blue but frustrating as well, in a good way ;-)
