Wesley Sneijder

All quiet on Sneijder at moment but with the international registration opeing tomorrow this may well change soon. Great player but would prefer Pastore.

I would love to see Sneijder and his team mate NDJ in the same midfield. Two proven world class players to build a team around.
Id need a little less reassurance that Sneijder could be immediately up and running in the Prem, than Pastore - if the two are comparible in skill levels and it was a straight choice.

Is his contract up soon? Otherwise why should Inter let him go ?

FFP

sadly in the last years every year inter have had to sell a top player in order to adjust the books and , maybe , buy someone.

Don't know if its anything to to with Wes but on talksh*te the NOTW reporter was on. Talk s presenters said he had just given them a snippet of what was on the back pages - they wouldn't say what but said it is worth City fans looking at the paper in the morning - must be a biggy to be back page headlines

This is the paper with a 16.8 accuracy rate in respect of City. I am not holding me breath no matter what they print. Now if it had been the Guardian ..........

Note on the main forum that Sam Matterface clarified that this is a Roberto Mancini interview

Forget where, but someone quoted a translation of an Interview which Mancini gave recently where he talked about City, Italian football etc

totally agree but on this site people get excited over a youtube clip.

If its the back page headline it may be something more concrete - i guess we wait and see

I really can't see us being interested in Snydoh. The Project will only spend big on players 25 or under imho i.e. if the player moves on after three years he will still have a decent resale value.

just been out in the car and talksport had the Dutch correspondent on talking about Sneijder, he said "he's desperate to come to the Premier League, he's on £200k per week so his wages can't be matched by most clubs, United are finding his wages a stumbling block, he has no ties to United and he'd welcome a move to City as much as to United and he's ready to jump on a plane now".

Just wondering considering we're about to lose a massive earner there may be something in it, although personally I've never been sure whether the prem would suit him, could see him being another Veron, just my opinion mind!
