West Brom (A) | Post-Match Thread

But BFS was ahead of his time y'know
He was the originator of players bringing their own pillows when staying away from home and having dossiers on players at his new club

You watch the way Cheltenham play under their young manager and then witness dinosaurs like Allardyce, Bruce and Pullis given jobs and you then understand why football hasn't progressed
It's a great point. Cheltenham looked more comfortable on the ball than West Brom. It's nice to see that the English football revolution inspired by Pep is trickling down to the lower leagues. There are lots of Championship teams playing pass and move football as well. It disproves the myth that English players can't learn to be more skilful and tactically smart.

She flagged because someone in her ear told her to.
If someone in her ear told her to flag it, why didn't they tell the VAR boys to disallow it as it would have been very easy to do that with no comeback as they're not even on camera? Think some of the conspiracy theorists need to think this through. She f*cked up, VAR corrected it, we move on. I'd be pretty annoyed if I was a baggies player or fan but I'm not, so I don't care - we won and are top of the league!

Stupendous as the saying goes! all that with three of the best players around out. Would love to see one of those heat maps of players average positions. Especially for stones, gundog, Cancelo, stones, and Mahrez. They were everywhere. Impossible to track our wonderful team yesterday. Keep it up boys. Not bad for a team written off just a few weeks back.

We all assumed it would be Brewnardo who would flourish while KDB is off, he still might, but it looks like it has fallen on Gundo and Cancelo to provide the creativity. The ball from Gundo to Sterling (i think) was brilliant, and some of the passes and crosses that Cancelo can do are a thing of beauty. It's still early and we shouldn't get carried away, it's the first proper game since KDB got injured, but it bares well that we were able to get so many people into the box without a recognised striker. That is one of the big issues we have been having.

That was exactly where I lost patience and emailed them. Told them that if they are going down the "Fanzone" route, fair enough but they should be honest about it, dump the likes of Mcmanaman and Ferdinand, recruit a couple of united and liverpool fans off the streets and pass on the savings to those of us who find the commentary unlistenable.

Haven't had a reply yet.
I don't think Ferdinand is actually that bad - might change the longer united maintain their title challenge, who knows. He's similar to (but not as good as) Gary Neville, who makes it clear who he supports, but also gives honest analysis on the other teams.

McManaman on the other hand is so biased towards Liverpool I can't believe it. He was even biased towards Madrid in our UCL game v them last summer. You'd never have imagined he played for us, would you?!

Pep has created this thing of beauty. But in terms of taking your breath away i'll never forget the City team that beat Tottenham at WHL a few years back, the game where Dzeko ran riot I think, every time City crossed the half way line the Spurs fans were going "oh, oh" in trepidation, you could hear it building with every pass.
We were terrific that day. Nasri’s deput with a couple of assists, Edin scored 4, won 5-1 and it could have been 10. Kit: Red and black stripes.
