can't wait to get outplayed for the seventh time in a row

Celtic: They score an offside goal, an own goal and a wondergoal (or was it a lucky scuffed shit? Still not sure)
Tottenham: Outplayed. Fair enough.
Everton: Stekelenburg worldie performance and Coleman should've been off after 25 minutes by all accounts.
Barcelona: Did alright for 60 minutes, Bravo mistake and Fernandinho slip cost us.
Southampton: Frustrating, but their goal was from a mistake and we had one harshly disallowed.
United: Second team. Denied a penalty. Their goal shouldn'tve stood.

It could be much worse. We've been poor but we've also been unlucky with decisions, if it is luck. We're much better than West Brom but they'll park the bus and we haven't yet learned how to deal with that.

Need to get back to winning ways, but hopefully we'll benefit from having rested most of our first XI tonight. Maffeo has surely played himself into contention, but not sure De Bruyne will be risked with one eye on Barca.

Bravo
Maffeo
Stones
Otamendi
Clichy
Fernandinho
Gundogan
Silva
Nolito
Sterling
Aguero

To be honest trying to play Kompany isn't wise. Him coming back in and out of the team all the time will only disrupt our defence. Better to stick with Stones and Otamendi who served us so well in the first ten games.

I think this will be another frustrating game. Pulis will park the bus and we will struggle to break them down.

Kompany may have to play, as West Brom's out ball is to Rondon, and he's arguably too strong and quick for the others. I'd also be concerned about Chadli, as he has a knack of ghosting into space between the lines, and that's not something we're too good at stopping. Would love a win, but I can see a bruising- they're a big, Stoke-like team- draw.

The way I see it too.

I predict 1-1 but would obviously love to be wrong and the rest tonight did the players good and we smash them.

Must win after tonight's shambles...

I feel your pain too, but I think that comment is to strong. First half we were on top, VK had to go off - he told Pep at half-time he was done in, but he is just getting his match fitness back after about a year out. Two kids did really well.

It was great to see on TV how Pep went up to Maffeo at the full-time whistle and gave him congratulations big time (that will stay with him for the future, I'm sure). Stay strong DWIFF

Pulis will park the bus like he did against Spurs and hope to hit us at a set piece. We can't continue to drop points against mid table sides,it's not good enough for where we want to be in May. We need the 3 points, anything less shouldn't be sugar coated anymore.

strongest team , BRAVO - KOMPANY , STONES , OTTO - STERLING , GUNDOGAN , DINHO , SILVA , NOLITO - IHEANACHO , AGUERO pulis will not come out and play he will rely on set pieces it will be a war of attrition, but we need a victory to set us up for Barca

Something like that, Maffeo has earned his spot. Avoid conceding the 1st goal please City, in fact just give us a clean sheet!

He could go with a back 3 and replace the full backs with Otamendi and Nacho (playing 2 up top) but I don't think that's defensively solid enough away from home.

Heeeeeyyyyyy come back with the bus. I need it for the weekend....

Come on city, give us a win to build the optimism for barca. Lose this one and it will become an official slump!
It seems that no matter what Pep states about the quality of the other leagues he has managed in, the premier league has no easy games, or games where 90% performances will get you through. Tough game after tough game. Defensive organisation is well executed.
We need a shock and awe performance from the boys.

City will beat West Brom comfortably on Saturday, as we have in recent seasons, an early goal is the key, after that we will batter em...! Anyone who thinks differently can go back to the, Rags post EFL Cup thread, where some of the pessimism on display there is fookin breathtaking..!
