No reasoning on the part of the government, just a massive Fuck You.

Of course they can't release the reasoning because it would be obvious how stupid it is. "Well despite all of this evidence from tens of thousands of games across Europe and in Scotland showing that safe-standing is infact safer than the current system, we aren't going to even consider this because....we don't like the optics of bringing back terraces, or it plays badly with voter test groups age 65-80."
 
It may be another victim of basically nothing getting done while Brexit is going on. The complete lack of detail smacks of something that has been dismissed out of hand without even being discussed. But let's be honest, we're never going to get any sensible football legislation from a bunch of people who struggle to remember which football team they claim to support.

Doesn't seem like DCMS has given much of a reason, so maybe it is that Brexit will mean there isn't time to get legislation through on something like this:

They can't tell us for fear of revealing sources you fool - we just have to take what the govt say as gospel and accept its the Russians that have blocked safe standing
 
1894 get behind this with a letter with official supporters clubs. Do with vigour.

Also 1894 group keep up your efforts. Although it often seems the vogue to knock or deride what you try. Amongst the majority of fans I speak to or talk to travelling on coaches to games your efforts are appreciated.

The knockers as in life just shout loudest......if only they joined you and did that in games ?
