Well, 63% possession in the 1st half disagrees with you, but why let that get in the way of your claim.Once again he selects a 4-4-2 and a vastly inferior team is allowed to control possession and the pattern of play against us. Don't think Kelechi would have been helped if he'd started ahead of Bony with that formation. Having said that, for whatever reason, Bony just does not fit our style and it is better for all sides if he is sold in the summer. Kelechi has so much more in his locker but his confidence must be dented at repeatedly not being giving a decent amount of game time. Pellegrini clearly does not trust youth - see Denayer and Patrick Roberts for added proof. Kolarov was great going forward but exposed defensively. Zabba had a shocking first half. I blame him for not trying to stop the cross for the first goal. Hart gave everyone more nervous moments and seems to punch everything these days - but he is neither convincing not intelligent as to where he punches it to. Left Aguero on way too long and he must be a slight doubt for Tuesday. Pep has an enormous task on his hands on the evidence of this season. Nasri deservedly motm.

Mangala - someone just needs to spend the whole summer drilling balls at him to control and pass. I like him as a defender but he scares me more when he has the ball at his feet. It's like he's scared he's not got the technical ability to take a touch and play, which he hasn't but it can be worked on.
Fernando just fuck off, tries hard but my god is he shit. I genuinely believe I've got a better first touch and awareness.
Bony just fuck off even further than Fernando, can't believe he's the same player we saw at Swansea.
Nasri - brilliant return, MOTM and can't wait to see him in a Pep team. Great sliding tackle in the centre circle late on too.
KDB - World class, we are very lucky to have him. Touch, awareness, passing, work rate and plays at such an intensity and speed it looks like someone has created a player on the playstation he's that good.

Mate, seriously. I know you think he had a good game and tried hard, but that 1 thing you keep mentioning was the only thing he did all game. The incident when he had the ball in the middle of the park just before half time and just booted it out for a throw in was devastating. People around me were laughing at the poor fucker.

Didn't seem anything like that during the game. Felt like we were playing counter attack v WBA at home - especially first half. We looked overrun in midfield but 3 points is the main thing.Thought he was mostly brainless with his decisions. But at least he seemed engaged.

If that's correct and i will assume it is, it cements my opinion that the others dont trust him and dont rate him either as we are a possession based side, especially at home and he is just being ignored with the game passing him by.

Was told after the game by a member of the management team that kun had a kick to his heel and they were hopeful he would be OK for tuesday
I kept telling myself as long as we get the 3 points I don't really care if we played badly or not. But bloody hell that was very poor for 60 mins. Gotta feel for bony. He shows no confidence and I don't even think he knows what to do in our system and the way we play. He's not shit. He's a proven premier league striker but alas we just aren't set up to suit his game. He really shouldn't start for us and kelechi should be getting some game time.
Nasri had a great game. He's carrying some timber just like me but his movement and passing and interplay was fantastic. That game should do him the world of good.
Being hyper critical here but I fail to see what kind of structure we play with. It's slow and possession based and it looks like we rely on Sergio to get us the goals. I like navas work rate and he's a likeable guy but he's so lacking in quality when it matters.
Delph and fernando did OK but quite a few times in the first half especially when we attacked we had Sergio, bony, navas, Delph, fernando and kolorov all so high up the pitch there was a huge gap between our midfield and the defense. We are so wide open its unreal. It's basic football though. If one midfielder goes forward then the other needs to sit in. It's incredible how many goals are scored against us from our own naievity and poor play and individual errors. Either the players are thick or they are just told go out on the pitch and do their stuff without any thought or homework done against the opposition.
On the plus side. KDB is the real deal :-)

Not a great performance but I couldn't give 2 shits. This is the business end of the season now and all that matters are 3 points and making sure that we finish in the top 3/4.
The change will come in the summer, I just hope the current squad has it in them to get us over the line.
Given how poor we have been, and we really have been, a top 3 finish, a semi final in the CL and a trophy in the bank is not to be sniffed at. I agree that there should have been so much more and some of the kids should have been given better game time in a squad that has been totally decimated by injury and has had a number of players bang out of form.
