West Brom Post Match Thread

Couldn't agree more.

He is under so much pressure to justify his place in the team but he actually has no 'place' in a team that doesn't even try to play anything like the kind of passes he requires in order to be effective. I figured we signed him in order to give us the option of changing the way we play but we just play exactly the same with him, as we would with Silva or DeBruyne in that position.

Quite obviously he can't play that role. Why even bother to ask him to do it ?

It's weird as when the beast was here we did play like that.

So much going on in yesterday's game , glad to have Nasri back he hasn't lost it. 2-3 entire rows in 109 booted out yesterday when west brom scored apparently they were a north Manchester school and were rags the showsec was saying when he came back down, and then some guy in 108 kicking off at the front well before half time and well after the teams came back out because.......his seat was wet and the security were stari at him... Was it wet weather yesterday? ;)

We seemed as if we were learning to play more than one way rather than just repeating the same moves (a big criticism I had of Mancini) but as soon as Negredo caved in we seemed to start gradually devolving again, eventually making Dzeko redundant, now Bony.

I'm fucked if I know what point your trying to make.

Not read everything, and my guess English is not his first language. I assume he's trying to say if Pellegrini is a clown, than all the other established managers in the league with similar resources and squad are clowns too as they are or have done or doing a worse job.
As Wenger, Mourinho, Hiddink, LVG, Klopp are all doing no better, are they all clowns too?

After watching Arsenal yesterday, I said to the lad I go with, a true Pellegrini hater, If Pellegrini's stuborness and inability to spot obvious flaws is doing your head in after 18 months, just imagine being an Arsenal fan. Wenger's stuborness and ignorance to the blindingly obvious has been going on 10 years.

The assessment of Pellegrini is a two-part assessment. There's what he's done over the three years. Not bad, not bad at all. There's what he's done specifically as regards this season. Should definitely have done better, given that he was able to get in two top class young players and a very useful midfielder into the bargain. Part of it, let us concede, has been injury problems, but some stubborn, and even disastrous selection choices have compounded that. In fact, there's a third part — assessment of yesterday. And yes, purely yesterday, I'll say it : clueless clown. You can perhaps — perhaps — make out a case for Bony being on the bench (personally, I wouldn't). Selecting him in the starting eleven is, at this point, either clueless (I hope so, for Pellegrini) or criminal (which is worse). Also, failing to take off Sergio immediately after the second goal, when we're supposed to be saving him for Tuesday (and when there was a fine option on the bench in the form of Kelechi). Yes. Clueless. Or criminal.
Kun is made of porcelain. Never know when he might give. Other than him, only Bony can hold the line as a cf - he did some of that yesterday. Only playing time will get his confidence up.
Kun playing 70 some with PSG and 85+ with WBA shows Pelle is focused on making top 4. What would have happened if Wba had scored in the 94th minute and Aguero had gone out with 20 minutes to go?

What if Natcho had come on and scored a hat trick? As for Bony, he only had 25 touches in the game.

He had a better touch on him than anything I've seen Bony do, too, at least in his period of form. Remember that stunning goal against Tottenham?

Or the volley against West Ham that dropped over his shoulder

If Bony tried that 100 times I doubt he'd even test the keeper once

Let me try to spell it out for you. .

Thank-you for your response and attempted clarification. The only thing that you managed to "spell-out" is that you are yet another addition to the growing list of fuckwit charlatan's pervading this forum masquerading as something that you are not.

But take comfort in the fact that you are by no means alone and, with a little more creative effort on your part, you might become a little less obvious and beyond that you may eventually pass for being something close to mildly entertaining.

It would have been nice to see you put together such crafty words to disparage my phoney views rather than a person you know nothing about. Then again, as my posts have irked your sensibilities, it may be that in general you are opinionated about things you know nothing about.

Happy to be proved wrong. Time will tell.

Nacho has done great. If I'm not mistaken he's the one player Pelle wanted to take away with him. I repeat myself, I think Pelle needs to a second option for a cf pivot that can keep the centre backs on a back foot and distribute to incoming midfielders. Not sure Nacho is that kind of player. Bony had it before, can only get it back by playing.

Unfortunately he keeps proving he can't get it back every time he plays.

One of Shazza's great shots from yesterday. Must be some BM-ers on here!
