West Brom pre-match thread

Players CAN play twice a week. But not forever and depending on circumstances. Too often results are decided by details. And it's these moments that are often decided by the tension the previous run of games brought. So the medical team needs to have a big database to be able to judge if a player is fit enough. And the manager if a not fully fit player is still better to use than a fit player with less talent.

Two times in a week isn't the problem. It's three times in a week. Weds-Sat-Tues
 
So, am I reading this thread correctly. People are saying this game is far more important than Tues as we have to qualify for the CL next season. I must be having a senior moment, but getting into the Chumps League next season (which I hasten to add, I think we will anyhows), doesn't guarantee we will progress as far as this season. I'm a bird in the hand fella and think Tues should not be compromised. Crikey, our b team should be able to take three points from a Pulis side with little but pride to play for.

What am I missing as there are too many saying this match is more important. Can someone help this old timer out :)
 
Perfect chance this weekend for us to get further away from the rag with them having a tough game away to spurs

Need to play the best team, then make changes if needed later on

We compromised against Chelsea and Manure and look what it got us.

I guess the problem is that PSG can field their C team this weekend and keep everyone fresh for Tues. We should have enough strength in depth to rest key players today

I must be mad but i'm cleaning this thread up, anything that's got nothing to do with the West Brom game from now on will just get deleted

When we do that we seem to come up short most times , sometimes with injuries this season other than blooding youngsters which is not MP's style we have played the side that is available.

Obviously we are resting Silva for Tuesday assuming he will come up all right but other than VK we basically have a full strength side to chose from.

We can't control what PSG do and you right they will probably field a weakened team but we are not 25 points ahead of the second side unfortunately.

Manure have a easier run home than us as do West Ham so we need three points today and hopefully its a repeat of Bournemouth where we may be able to make 3 subs early in the second half.

They already have, none of the XI out there today for them will be starting on Tuesday :(. However we are risking it if we rest agreed.
 
Professional footballers used to be able to play twice a week. Some of them still can. These three points are the priority!
