But your revenue can go down if the scheduling of matches is poor. Other teams will play at the weekend and be on SKY so get tv money and more match day revenue. I don't believe its about revenue, but this match scheduling is definitely about hindering City's success. You can call me paranoid but being away after ALL the Champs League group games is not a coincidence

You're paranoid :-). So the premier league, police and sky are all in cahoots to
Hamper Citys progress? Do you realise how nuts that sounds? Its swings and
roundabouts. The more successful we are the more our fixtures will be moved.
I agree the more successful you are the more games you play but how come we played Liverpool on Sunday then played Arsenal on the Tuesday? How come we play twice within 48 hours at New Year when others get 3 days between games. And the thing about being away after Champs League games is definitely to do with the fact the Rags will then be at home after theirs. It might not be a conspiracy but it ain't a coincidence.

on the last 2 points I agree.

on the first point Liverpool had to go to Chelsea the same night as us.

If anything you could argue they saw us and them as the 2 biggest threats to United, but that doesn't matter now.

Clearly see by the semi draw that the rags were designed to have the piss easy run, Palace should have been #2 alphabetically.

And the reason we played Arsenal 48 hours after Liverpool was because Tottenham were home on the Wednesday and there was also demos planned, and it was the same for Liverpool away at Chelsea as well so not just us. Again the reason at New Year is solely down to tv changes (both Sunderland away and Liverpool home are now on Sky, incidentally further increasing revenue going back to the earlier conspiracy that we would be financially worse off).
As for prem league games being away after champs league also means we are at home before the games and so could utilise our squad that way accordingly and not having had to travel prior to the games (again, who do you believe yields this much power in authority that they could be influencing fixtures to that extent, it's utter paranoia???)
Look at the Chelsea away sky game that was moved giving us an extra 48 hours to recover after Bayern, that benefits us (the team, if not the fans!!, somebody must have messed up there eh? )
As I say, swings and roundabouts. But get used to it, if we carry on winning, we will be on Sky more and more......price of success.

The FA, Premier League and Sky all leak like sieves. If ever there were a conspiracy to schedule fixtures for a particular club's benefit, someone would have gone running to the press. And the people that make these decisions know that. They're not going to risk their careers just to make sure that City are drawn away after CL fixtures.

Its possible that on occasions a "silent conspiracy" applies. For example when its pointed out that City have a 2 day turnround after playing Sunderland they just shrug their shoulders. Its not being paranoid to assume that there is a general lack of sympathy to City among the FA, PL and UEFA.

But thats a million miles away from believing that they would rig the entire PL fixture schedule or arrange for the balls in a cup draw to come out in a certain way. They might want to do that but they'd be far too scared of being caught.
