I agree that Navas was probably our weakest link (someone has to be), but you've intimated that he was a liability and, IMO he wasn't. Great TEAM performance.
 
My only complaint, and I'm holding back a rant here, is the substitutions!!! We were 3 nil up with have an hour to go, perfect opportunity to think longer term. Aguero on for match fitness I agree with and predicted that one, you could maybe argue that nasri was for the same reason but mdm on was poor. Perfect opportunity to play Denayer or go 442 and bring on nacho. Playing mdm for 10 minutes achieved nothing whereas a debut for a former eds lad would have given a lot of fringe players a boost.

Navas works bloody hard and has a good team mentality!
Sure, he could improve his crossing but he's a very useful player who causes full backs lots of problems, great movement off the ball, tracks back, never makes a fuss and takes far too much flak on here!

Not necessarily a liability but definitely our weakest link. If and when DeByrne comes I would expect him to be in the side. I cannot see us dropping any of Sterling, Silva, Toure, Fernandinho or Aguero for him. I also think Nasri contributes more to the overall game than Navas.... He is a great squad player and will have most impact coming in after 60/70 minutes and running at tired defences.
 
Amazing performance from the whole team. What a way to start the season.
Defence was solid. Very happy that Kompany scored, from a corner aswell! His celebration was the best moment of the game.
Yaya with a great goal. Easy power and beautiful technique.
Is David Silva getting even better? Another planet tonight.
Oh Raheem Sterling, he's top of the league :)
