Excellent performance all around, maybe the best i have seen Sagna since he signed. Silva was on a different level.

I also thought MDM was fantastic in replacing Yaya, if ever we need to close a game out he would be a real option for us.

great start for us, will say that sagna looked good as did yaya...sterling was very strong but needs to work on his finishing...navas was wasteful and useless as usual...and silva was magnificent

Pre-season is a joke. It's just a trip around the world for publicity and there's a bit of training on pitches in stadiums against other teams every now and again.

We could win every one of those training/exhibition sessions 5-0 or we could lose every game 0-5 and it would not be of any importance or significance to the actual football matches we play in the season.

Fair enough it doesn't prepare teams for the season ahead very well but that's the same for all teams as all teams go through this farce that is modern pre-season. So it's not like it's just us.

Navas was our weakest link and we cannot afford to start with him. We should use him as an impact player and bring him on at 70 minutes... That way he may contribute something substantial to the overall end product. At the moment he doesn't!
