My only complaint, and I'm holding back a rant here, is the substitutions!!! We were 3 nil up with have an hour to go, perfect opportunity to think longer term. Aguero on for match fitness I agree with and predicted that one, you could maybe argue that nasri was for the same reason but mdm on was poor. Perfect opportunity to play Denayer or go 442 and bring on nacho. Playing mdm for 10 minutes achieved nothing whereas a debut for a former eds lad would have given a lot of fringe players a boost.
Pullis said that Silva was controlling the game - then went on to say he(Pullis) got his tactics wrong. Should have played another in midfield. Didn't mention City after that.
I agree that Navas was probably our weakest link (someone has to be), but you've intimated that he was a liability and, IMO he wasn't. Great TEAM performance.
Same, thought nacho should have came on
Don't think Pellegrini wanted to change our shape and seeing as he wanted game time for Aguero,
Nacho was never going to get a look in.
If anyone argues that, they're a **** and should stop watching football.Navas works bloody hard and has a good team mentality!
Sure, he could improve his crossing but he's a very useful player who causes full backs lots of problems, great movement off the ball, tracks back, never makes a fuss and takes far too much flak on here!
