How shit was the pre match pa system. That video/music (??) was bloody awful, it seem to go on and on forever.
I`ve been to WBA many, many times but that was bouncing. Probably due to the fans` disgust at the belittling media, mixed with an early goal.
 
Final word from me on this game, what I find most satisfying it is one in the eye for the so called expert pundits (and a few on here) who had more or less written us off, it was a great team performance against a team managed by one of the most defensive managers going, not only that it was the best performance of the first round of games much better than any of our main rivals had turned out, long may that level of performance continue

Interesting to note the gap between Fernandinho and Toure. Any decent team could very much end up in a 4 v 3 situation with a quick build up or an incisive pass. This is what worries me against really good sides. I just hope Toure sits back a bit more against Chelsea.

Against better sides we could drop an attacker for Delph who will screen the back four alongside Fernandinho.

Without being pedantic, very difficult to find fault anywhere. 3 points on the board Only another 38 to go.

What I have found interesting is this regurgitated stat about the last 5 League Winners all played the first game on a Monday night.

So the predictions of us from finishing 4th at best and as some meedjia outlets would have people believe, that we won't even make a champs league position, we are now in the box seat as we played so well.

I wonder how much grief Lescott has taken for actually saying something positive about us.

No that is not how it is done?. The panel have to meet in a very posh hotel , and they have to travel from Tees side , Cumbria, Cornwall , London by first class.
Then it is "jollies" time, a few beers, top food then they might say who was playing last night. Then they get the Media in a news conference to announce an O.G.
Talk about spending monies!!. Could do it on Twitter - in about 2 mins.

well, i think if ya ya had hit it and it was going in the bottom corner and it happened to flick off one of their players and sort of change the trajectory, but not by much, you'd be a bit miffed if they took it off ya ya but when it comes to your own team mates, then i can see why they might change it. doesnt make much of a difference tho!
 
They give it to the player shooting if the original shot is on target and goes in of a defender.
They give it as an og if the original shot is missing.
They tend to give it to the person having the last touch if he's on the attacking team.
