Disappointing but could be to our advantage in the league as scousers and chavs will have more games now. It stings a bit now but as long as we win at least one other trophy then this is the least important.

Another 25 shots but no goals. Frustrating. I can’t help but wonder if we had a striker we’d have won that, and the CL final. Just hope the board sort that out in January or next summer. Can’t go on creating so many chances only to fuck them up, it’s unfair on this group of brilliant players. They must be as frustrated as us.

I thought Stones, Ake and Zinchenko played well at the back.
If Stones and Zinchenko get back in the 1st team i think they'll be back for good, barring injury.
Fair play to Ake, he looks better the more games he gets.

Cole Palmer had a good game too, he was unlucky on a couple of occasions and i like that he doesn't hide and is always looking for the ball.

Phil showed when he came on, penalty miss aside, that he's our best player!

I'm gutted as I love this competition. Only positives is it leaves a few midweeks free and that could be the difference.

No two legged tie could also be a huge benefit.

Still hurts though but fair play to West Ham. I've a lot of time for them and would love to see them win something.
