West Ham (A) - EFL Cup R4 - Post-Match Thread

Those bemoaning no out and out striker, if we’d signed Kane for example, do you honestly believe he’d have played tonight.

We put 4 past a very good Brighton Saturday.

The problem is, if we have no Bernardo & Foden, we simply have no energy or drive.

Is there any player you’d least want to see on the end of a big chance than Sterling?

I mean, he wasn’t any worse than some of the others but his finishing is actually laughable currently.
He was wank and everything was trade mark Raz. Running into players, slowing the moves down, not shooting and then misses a glorious chance. Awful

When are we going to sign a striker eh? Almost eveything was sent to their keeper ffs, who was the motm. And until Foden came on there was a serious lack of pace and urgency in the team. Not at our best tonight but still way better than West Ham, but credit to them for sticking at their plan and I hope they go further in the competition.

Meh….the silver lining is we don’t have to piss-arse about getting to and back from London on a sunday evening, and were saving a bit of money.

only thing i can say about tonight loss was that sterling free header at the keeper right at the end of the game some's up sterling to a tee ? your big time players striker scores that goal. we had to lose sometime in the league cup and maybe it will mean better legs in the league and champions league when they are handing out the BIG prizes

nobody can say anything about the loss and the run we have had over 5 years was amazing
good luck west ham and go and win it now or it will mean nothing beating city tonight

I dunno, some of the players just look like they aren't confident in front of goal so always want to make the extra pass or try to walk it in.

Haaland would make such a difference to us

To be honest I'm not convinced he'd not just go the way of KDB, Jesus and Foden who were all absolute killers in front of goal when they arrived and have gone backwards massively.

7 shots on target from 25 attempts, sadly our usual stats. Just like other posters, no idea how international class players for us cannot out simple chances away week after week

KDB does everyone a second slower theses days. Sad but I think we've seen the best of him.

5,000 away fans to watch that dross.
All season he seems to be a yard off the pace, his normally precision passes aren’t finding their target like they used to and he isn’t influencing games like the KDB we know and love.

I really hope he’s just not quite up to full match fitness and it’s not the effect of one too many bad injuries.

I'd rather go out of this comp than have Kane at city

Bitterness at losing any game aside, ill get over this pretty quickly.

If we go out now in the Carabao and the FA Cup 3rd round, will anyone remember either if we double up on the league and the UCL?
