So I'm rewatching the game in the states and I can't help but feel the commentators were full on pulling for WH. They seem genuinely disappointed every time a Hammer attack fizzes and seem bent on pepping up the team. They seem to downplay city goals as well.

I loved the highlights - David Silva playing the best football I have ever seen, think pep has said to him to " go out there and do what you do best", Leroy Sanes' performance was epic - I actually got flashes of Brazil at Italia '90 - IF he turns up every week like that Pep has a real selection problem. I can just see the teamsheet ... with rock/paper/scissors needing to be played for at least 4 spots in the starting 11!

I think David’s experience of the last year has really hit home. I think he’s like a new man, an even better player than he ever was as I think he’s got this attitude that life is short and a football career is even shorter so he’s just going all out to enjoy it while he can.

He’s been so good this season it’s just unbelievable.

I’ve always been one of those people that if I met someone famous, a musician I like or a City player, I’d say hello and leave them alone, not mither them for a picture or in the old days an autograph. But I think I’d have to tell him that I think he’s the greatest player we’ve ever had.

And Leroy, he excites me, can’t eait to see how good he becomes!

Tbf, people expect us to score 3 or 4 a game now. Commentary on Barca games used to be the same.

Fair comment..altho was that commentary on Barca in their own country...or in the states,like the earlier poster you replied to described?
I dont recall commentary in this country dumbing down utd or Chelsea attacks when they were the dominant team in this country ....

UK and States commentary, the Spanish and Italians go nuts for a throw in, never mind a goal.

Lol,reminds me of the utube highlights of current City matches..the Arabica commentary go absolutely mad when either team do anythng at all.
The Westham match the bloke was literally shouting at the top of his voice when either team scored....entertaining.

A bit different to tyler at Anfied a few years back when Silva scored at the Kop end and tyler sounded like he was absolutely gutted....when he eventually decided to comment on the goal..

Was the impartial co-commentator former Hammers legend Tony Gale by any chance?

He was certainly crying in his jellied eels on the American stream we got up

He are pal how’s this. Filled up car when we got off M25, so threw my credit card in centre consul forgot all about it. Walked to the tube station Newbury Park to Stratford BMR pulls out his debit card £1.50 return the other lad we went with £1.50 debit card thought shit left mine in car, put a £10 in 20p change thought that can’t be right guard says yes £1.50 but if you pay cash it’s £9.80. Same journey same stop same tube robbing bastards
