Thought the penalty was going to be retaken for Fabianski having both feet off the line, but they went with encroachment! Either way, I’ll take it...unlike what Sergio should do with the next penalty!!

Regarding the penalty retake call. It didn’t need VAR. The ASSISTANT was looking right at the keeper and just ignored the rule regarding feet and all that was needed to spot Rice was a ref that didn’t need a bloody Seeing Eye Dog.

These rules have been ignored by players and officials alike for years. It doesn’t take technology to enforce them. All it ever needed was the officials enforcing the rules instead of not bothering.

The penalty was a good spot by VAR, although the keeper would still have saved it had he stayed on the line and rice would still have got to the ball first so that went in our favour...

The penalty was retaken because a Hammer (Declan Rice?) had encroached, simple breach of the law.

I just love this team, turned the screw big time in the 2nd half. We were nowhere near our best but with all due respect to West Ham we were simply too good. Sterling MOTM, but everyone played well roll on Spurs.

Certainly put a marker down.
