Forgot to say Eddie's double save brilliant.
Felt like we had much more possession. Only wasted one corner today.
Really hoped he would get a goal. One nice effort and one should have done better, good 90 minutes though.Mahrez either assisted or got the pre-assist on every single goal.
1. Mahrez through ball to Walker to Jesus
2. Mahrez to KDB to Sterling
3. Mahrez dinky dinky to Sterling’s dinky dinky
4. Mahrez wins the penalty for Aguero
5. Mahrez through ball to Sterling.
Undroppable for Spurs.
Pep Guardiola on #WHUMCI: "Typical first game of the season away in the Premier League. First half was not good, we have to improve. We didn’t control second balls. It happened at Brighton. But we got three points, goals and a clean sheet."
"Ederson made an incredible save. We know we have to improve. Second half was much better. From the beginning it was better, we were more calm but we have to improve." [@btsportfootball via @ManCityMEN]
Not surprising.
- Gabriel Jesus has been directly involved in 18 goals in his past 10 starts for City in all competitions, scoring 13 and assisting a further five.
Yes but the original intent was to use VAR for "clear and obvious" mistakes and there was no one at the game today who doubted Jesus had scored a fair goal from a brilliant move. If they'll go back to using VAR only for clear & obvious errors it will do good service.people saying VAR shit really we wouldn't have got the penalty reply if it was ,yes it takes something away from the game but also helps teams that the refs and linesman dont see
That is (a lot) of us NOT coming thenAny Blues moaning about our performance today and any VAR complainers (and any Brexit fans) are DEFINITELY NOT coming to my birthday party...
What a superb result City...
