It will indeed look ridiculous. I could perhaps understand them requesting this if they had a decent lead after the first leg but they lost that at home. They’re definitely outsiders to get through on Thursday.

If this Independent Regulator becomes a reality then TV companies changing the kick off times this close to the game should be prohibited.

I think you’ve got an unrealistic expectation as to the likely extent of an independent regulator’s powers. They won’t touch kick off times with a barge pole

I'm hearing that West Ham asked for this but no idea why as yet. It's be nice, if that was the case, that City said "No. Fuck off" but it may be they have little choice.

It's a point I've made to the club before; if you're selling the right to games, that shouldn't mean selling your soul completely. The clubs should be more upfront about what is and isn't acceptable. They're the sellers.

Considering I know that next years EL final is in Budapest on May 2031, they could have just asked Sky to schedule the game for 2 o’clock right at the outset.
