West Ham (H) - Post-Match Thread

Good game, but what on earth was going on with the phone lights in tier 3... like some sort of boyband
concert

Good win, freezing cold, what's with them lot rocking up with a few Benjamin Mendy songs, a bit strange

I thought Rice was really good.
He was okay, he’s definitely improved (he’s been woeful against us previously) but he certainly wasn’t anything special.

Hard to judge against us though, as Smith-Roe was absolutely fucking terrible against us and I thought he didn't look like he’d even get in our EDS squad, yet against other teams he’s played well.

Fucking embarrassing, yet they were still more active than 90% of our fans today so can’t bash the embarrassing fuckers too much.

Most of the crowd today sat there in total silence all game with the Singing Sections (when they bothered today, which wasn’t often) continuing with their obsession with singing songs the rest of the ground don’t join in with… the phone lights was the only time I knew the rest of the ground were still alive, or even actually there!

It was the biggest home Prem game so far this season, for fuck’s sake. Most of that crowd today acted like it was a pre-season friendly.
Such a difference from the midweek game! I was shouting and singing a lot, generally with the two people I sit next to on my row. No one else joined in.

Touch and go getting there today thanks to our shambolic railway network.
(how on earth do snowy rainy cold hot countries cope!?)
Great turn out though, decent enough atmosphere in SSL1.
Can we do it on a cold Wednesday winter's night and a brassic Sunday afternoon?
Course we can.
Well played Blues.

I wondered what their obsession with Mendy was. They were singing for ages about him on the Met on the way to the ground and then sang about a three minute song about him at the ground.

Not one City fan gives a shit about the **** and we all hope he goes down and has the key thrown away if he’s found guilty… why would West Ham fans think we care?

They sang songs like it was a club legend who we’d all be really bothered about.

Bloody hell that was a cold one. Did what we needed to do in tough conditions against a very organised side. Don’t feel the need to dissect individual performances because the snow is an anomaly that may not impact another of our games in the same way for 5 years or more

Crowd was very flat for the most part but when it does properly get going it’s loud.

Fuck off Moyes for no other reason than that he’s a red bastard.

Need a win on Wednesday now.

Was it only three minutes, it felt like a lot longer.
