Great player for 5th - 10th place team. Not quite sharp enough for top 4 or Europes Elite. Loved watching him but can also understand why he's not considered good enough to push Sergio and Gabriel for a place in the team. Good luck lad, I'm sure you'll have a cracking career.
I agree. Best goals per games ratio by a player who has scored 10 goals or more in Premierleague history around Christmas time last year and hasn't had much of a chance since.£20 million is still way too cheap for him when you consider what that would buy you elsewhere.
Think we have dropped a bollock with him. He deserved far more of a crack this season. Plenty of games where he could have been brought on. Just don't think he has the characteristics Pep looks for. To let him go at this stage is crazy though.
Totally different players, but does remind me a little bit of Lukaku going to Everton. Good move for Nacho but not so sure it's great for us. He's a great 3rd strike option and would get plenty of opportunities. Sad how quickly people on here have written him off. Pep has destroyed his confidence for me. Loads of opportunities to use him and get him scoring goals yet he wasted everyone's time bringing fucking Navas on. We seemingly don't persevere with young players unless we have spent 40m on them.
Kane - World Class, not for meAt this moment that may be his level but I think if he meets his potential he can fit in a top 4 team. Some players need time to develop to that level while others pick it up right away.
Aubameyang, Drogba and even Kane weren't considered that level when they started out but they developed and became world class. I think that may be the case for Kelechi.
Because he's 20 and probably half the squad last season also didn't have the characteristics Pep wants. Aguero doesn't but was given chances in games to adjust. Nacho never was.If he hasn't the characteristics that Pep wants, how has Pep dropped a bollock or even dented his confidence?
Have to disagree to be honest, he's got all the tools he needs to reach Lewandoski levels and to be honest I don't think he's far off as it stands.Kane - World Class, not for me

The fact he is still scoring in internationals, in spite of the fact he doesn't actually play ANY meaningful football inbetween, should be screaming his potential from the fooftops.
Laughable that some clowns on here are already writing him off because he doesn't excel in his one game every 6 months.
If we have a buyback clause, then it's an ok deal if Pep knows he won't be using him, it gives us the chance to see how he develops & importantly, it gives the kid football which City have robbed from him at a crucial time in his development. There is no chance Sané, Jesus or Sterling would be the players they currently are, if they had come through with such little time playing football.
This would give him chance to try & catch up some of the football he has missed. If he succeeds wd can sign him again.
If there is no buyback, Txiki is a dick.
Or Nacho has been assessed and deemed will never be good enough. The fact he is still scoring in internationals, in spite of the fact he doesn't actually play ANY meaningful football inbetween, should be screaming his potential from the fooftops.

People are getting too carried away with this buyback shit, it's not as simple as that. The fact he is still scoring in internationals, in spite of the fact he doesn't actually play ANY meaningful football inbetween, should be screaming his potential from the fooftops.

There is a reason it doesn't happen too often and that is because there is the buying club as well, who generally don't want a buyback clause as it means if he turns into a player who they'd make great profit on they don't get that option.
Consequently it can result in lower sale price etc etc.
Not easy, and Txiki is certainly not a dick if there doesn't end up being one.
Or Nacho has been assessed and deemed will never be good enough.
Savic/Suarez/Trippier etc for us...Those bigger names are coming with our loan and sell rotating doors
De Bruyne/Lukaku/Matic for Chelsea
Pogba for United
Morata et al for Real Madrid
Damn those pesky people who can see exactly how a players career will pan out
